Stainless austenitic steel Aisi 316 L (+S+Cu) Décolletage (1.4404+S+Cu) as per DIN EN 10088-3, German no 1.4598. It is a free cutting stainless steel. The addition of sulphur (S) and copper (Cu) helps to free machine this steel. Regarding corrosion resistance it is an improved Aisi 303/Aisi 303Cu. It is similar to Aisi 316LF and is used in many industries like automotive, watches (internal parts), medical instruments, optical and connector industries. |
