Custom 465 (Chronifer 465KL) is a product of Carpenter steel under the protected brand name Custom 465. It is a premium melted martensitic, age-hardenable steel, capable of ultimate tensile strength of over 1700 MPa (250ksi) in the overaged condition H 900. This alloy in cond. H900 is designed for applications in the field of excellent notch tensile strength and fracture toughness for medical instruments. The condition H1100 combines a superior strength, toughness and corrosion resistance with better results than other high end products like Custom 455 or Carpenter 13-8 stainless steel. The general corrosion resistance approaches the values of Aisi 304. It is not recommended to use this premium steel Custom 465 (Chronifer 465KL) for cutting surface.
