LAW 100 X® is an unleaded, hardenable watch making steel for small and high precision parts for the watch making and precision mechanics industries.
Together with one of the leading steel manufacturers of the world and with metallurgists from the region, L. Klein has designed a steel that meets all current requirements for the high-quality watch making sector. The patent has been applied for.
The powder metallurgy, which has been successfully introduced in the tool manufacturing industry, serves as the base for the LAW 100 X®.
The fine grained, regular structure allows clean outlines and good machinability even though it is a lead-free steel.
The coating of the parts show better results. Minimal fluctuations from one lot to the next are expected.
In due time, a temperable, corrosion-resitant watch making steel with the same technology will be introduced.
